Mt. Kailash Tour: Mt Kailash lays in Tibet China. Mt. Kailash tour is one of best tour to do in our life time. It is an adventure and religious type of tour. Mt. Kailash is an attractive and important place to visit for both Hindus and Buddhists. Thousands of tourists and pilgrims are visiting this holy place every year. Kailash Parbet is a rock pyramid with snow and is located in a scenically rich area of Western Tibet.

Often referred to as the mountain of Swastika, an ancient sign of good luck; it is considered most auspicious to make a religious pilgrimage around the 52 Km circuit. In fact, the entire region of Kailash is of important religious significance which includes the two turquoise-blue pristine high lakes of Mansarovar(14950 feet) and Rakshes Tal. This holy region is a symbol of the creation of the universe, attracting scholars and researchers worldwide. Kailash (SumeruPrabat) being the center of the Himalaya and the home of Lord Shiva provides us with all source of life which welcomes you to a spiritually enriching and rewarding opportunity of a lifetime. Proper arrangements with proper equipment are most necessary to complete this trip.

Elevations: Mt. Kailash is not a very tall mountain. It is 6690m. (Approximately 22000 ft) and Darchen, the base of Mt. Kailash is 4550m (Apprx. 14500 ft), Dolmala is 5300m (17000 ft.) and Mansarovar is 4550m (14950 ft)

Trip Itinerary

Arrival in KTM, transfer to Yak & Yeti or Radisson Hotel (1330m). On your arrival your passport, visa fee and trip remaining amount will be collected. Today, you may eat the dinner at the hotel or go out to eat.

We will check our equipment like sleeping bag, down jacket, your belongings. We will pack everything today. Your suitcase will be stored this evening at the hotel. You will have only your duffle bag. We will go to bed early today because we have to leave early morning to the airport. We will inform you the time when to be ready. You can order your breakfast before you go to bed.

Today we leave from Kathmandu to Sabrubeshi an early morning start. It will be a full day driving through Nepali countryside. We will stay at local lodge.

Today we leave from Sabrubeshi to Kerung an early morning start. We have to go through the Nepali customs and then Chinese customs. We will meet our Tibet/Chinese guide. We will be driving with the local guide now on by a minibus. Today will be our first night in Tibet.

Our 2nd night in Tibet will be at Saga driving through the Tibet Plateau. Saga is a small town where a basic accommodation are available. We will use a best available lodge for the night.

Today will be one of our exciting day. We will have our first Dharshan of Mt. Kailash the most sacredmountain in the earth and the holy lake Mansarowar. We will stay one night at MansarowarLake.

Today we will spent whole morning here at Mansarowar and drive to Darchen after lunch. It will be only an hour and half drive to Darchen. Darchen has bit better accommodation then Mansarowar. This is one of our acclimatization day as well. We will sort out hour personal gears here. We will take only few things that will need for rest two days for Parikrama. Those gears we don’t need will leave here.

Our Parikrama begins from an early morning after driving about an hour via Yamadhawar to Shersung. Our bus will drop us at Sershung and out hike Parikrama begins. We will have a pack lunch today. It will be about 4 to 5 hours walk slowly.

This is our one of the most important day Pass. Crossing Dolma La pass is the challenging but rewarding as well. You will be walking around the holy Mt. Kailash. As soon as we descend from the pass we will have a Dharshan of Gaurikund. We believe that Parbati has taken a bath here. We will continue to descend to the bottom of the mountain and continue our gradual flat route to Zutulphuk. This is our longest day of hike on this trip. Horse can be rented for two to 3 days from the beginning as well for the Parikrama but downhill you have to walk. Overnight at Zutulphouk after long day.

We will trek about 3 to 4 hours and then we catch our bus and drive to Dongpo or Prayang and overnight at local lodge.

Today we will drive to Kerung. This will be out last night of stay in Tibet. It will be about 7/8 hours drive

Today will be an early starting day. We will go through the Chinese/ Tibet customs, cross the friendship bridge then enter to Nepal clearing though the Nepali customs and immigration.It will be about 8/9 hour drive to Kathmandu and overnight at 5 star hotel.
